Sales Jobs!
Today is the official launch of the SalesBlogcast.com Job Board! Since launching the blog, I have received multiple requests to create career opportunities for my subscribers and group members. OK... let's do it! This new feature is located at SalesBlogcast.JobThread.com. You will also find a widget on the side bar promoting the job board... allowing our blog visitors to view and access career opportunities daily!
The goal is to create a high quality "nitch" job board specific to sales, management, marketing, and related fields. I originally made the following offer to my LinkedIn and Twitter connections: "The 1st 25 people to email me at PostJobs@SalesBlogcast.com get to POST JOBS FREE for 1 YEAR! Type "I want to post FREE for 1 Year!" in the subject line."
The offer drew 29 responses! I decided to welcome and approve all of them to my beta team. As I am writing this post, there are currently six career opportunities listed… which is a good start! I know we will continue to build on this. In an effort to GO BIGGER, I am extending the offer. The first 50 people to email me at PostJobs@SalesBlogcast.com get to POST JOBS FREE for 1 YEAR! Remember to type "I want to post FREE for 1 Year!" in the subject line.
An advanced thank you goes out to all of you for helping get the word out. We are asking our connections to...
1. Spread the word! Email this post to every corporate sales department, every recruiter, and everyone you know who is offering or looking for career opporunities in sales, management, marketing, and related fields.
2. At the bottom of this post, you will find buttons for del.icio.us, Stumble Upon, Technorati, and Digg. Please click on each button to promote this post on each of these services.
Did I forget anything? What other ideas can you think of to help make this new feature successful?
*Free posting applies to basic posts and there is no limit to the number of jobs you can post. If you choose to use additional features, there is a small fee for posting under "multiple categories" and/or creating "featured" job posts.

Doyle, to you welcome network marketing groups to you jobs list?

Excellent question Peggy! The job board service I am using does not allow us to post network marketing opportunities. It goes against the "terms of service" policy.

Just wanted to follow-up on how useful your job thread can be. Not only did I get responses for the job I posted I also had a marketing manager contact me about outsourcing web design to my company. Such a unique opportunity that I would not have had without posting to your job thread. Thank you Doyle!

Hi Doyle,
I think it would be great if there was a place for those who are looking for a job. They could post their resume's, jobs that they can do, a summary including what kind of salary they are looking to make. With many of the other job boards such as Career Builder and Monster, they make the applicant type in how much they want to earn. Not a range, but an actual number. They cannot move forward on the board without it. Now the applicant has no room to be able to negotiate salarys or to accept a job that might earn less money than they might like at first but could be the best job for them. One that they could grow into and stick with for a long time.
What does everyone else think?

Thanks for the feedback Donna! I've emailed your request to JobThread to see if this is an option on the service. Although I don't see it on the current platform... it may be an option in the future... let's see how they respond.
I will keep you updated!
By the way... I've been playing with some tools that will help add to our community. Check out the new MyBlogLog widget on the left hand sidebar. I look forward to seeing what our readers think!

UPDATES:
1. I've received a response from the service and although candidates are not currently able to post their resume, it is a feature that is in the works. Let's keep an eye our for it!
2. Here is a breakdown of job board statistics for the first 2 months... I'd say it's a great start!

Doyle, my friend,I think Donna is absolutly correct. If you can do it, it would add a lot more members to our group but better than that, Donna would at least an equal chance against the Piranha that feed off of the job seeker with no compassion or empathy. I rarely go into battle as or thinking I am an underdog and you can give Donna a level playing field if it is economicaly feasible for SalesBlogcast. I know you to be a stright thinking and compassionate person so I know if it can be done, you will do it. Doyle is on your side and that of our members, you can take my word for it. You may write me at bob@syspromedia.com and give me your number and I will be glad to do whatever I can.
