"The Letter" - Changes to LinkedIn Groups
Most of us probably received "the letter" from LinkedIn stating that members will now be limited to joining a maximum of 50 groups. I immediately began seeing a number of questions wondering why. I’ve also had members email me with the question, "What do I do?!!!"
I know we have a lot of loyal group members who want to make sure to keep your SalesBlogcast.com LinkedIn group membership active... along with a number of other great groups you are a part of. Below is a step-by-step guide for ensuring you remain in the groups you value most.
Scenarios:
A. If you are involved in 50 groups or less, you don’t have to worry. Your group memberships will not be affected.
B. If you are a member of more than 50 groups, you will want to follow the steps below to ensure you keep the top 50 groups that bring you the greatest value.
C. If you do nothing, LinkedIn will keep you in the first 50 groups you joined and remove your membership to groups 51 and above. So it is important that you make these changes yourself over the next week.
Step-by-step:
1. Go to "Groups" on the LinkedIn sidebar (on the left hand side of your screen)
2. Go to the group you no longer want to be a part of and click on "settings"
3. Scroll down to the middle of the page, click on "Leave this group"
4. On the next page you’ll confirm with the "Leave this group" button
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you’ve chosen your top 50 groups
I invite all of you to make the appropriate changes to ensure your LinkedIn group membership with SalesBlogcast.com remains active. Please note that this change pertains only to your LinkedIn group membership and has no effect on your email subscription to SalesBlogcast.com!
Now... let's keep building our Sales and Leadership community!

Believe me! SalesBlogCast is one of my favorite groups. One of the few, in fact, that is active and supportive and helpful.
Thanks for that.
